Attending Church from Sunday 6th June

From Sunday 6th June everyone who has asked to attend Church in person will be able to attend each week, the bi-weekly bubbles will no longer apply. The same guidelines will be in place but we are now able to have more people in the church building.
We will have lists at the door, as before for track and trace details, and because of this we would ask if you are unable to attend any week that you drop us a quick email to acts.tarbert@btconnect.com and let us know. This also means we will know what space we have for any visitors who want to attend Continue reading

Happy New Year

The New Year letter this year is being posted on the website a bit later than usual. This letter is also being posted physically to the entire congregation, and hence we did not feel it was right to post the letter on the website until it had arrived via Royal Mail to people’s homes. Undertaking a mailshot of the congregation is an extremely onerous task, hence the reason we haven’t undertaken too many mailshots during the past year. Our grateful thanks are due to Karen, Agnes, Christine and others who printed, collated, labelled, enveloped and arranged postage for all these letters. Continue reading

For such a time as this Day 36

We sometimes wonder how anything good can come from a bad situation, but God’s will and way are greater than ours, and God knows what He is doing. If she hadn’t been there, Naaman would never have gone to Elisha for help, and would not have been healed. In reflecting on the difficult and challenging times, can  we say like Joseph that God meant it for good” “ ( Gen 50:20) I hope we can take comfort from the testimony of scripture,

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 Continue reading

The photo  above shows the group of eight who had travelled up from Glasgow yesterday as well as those from the congregation who were there to welcome and feed them. Many thanks indeed to the ladies of the A.C.T.S group for the delicious  soup and baking which was much appreciated by our visitors.  The group is led by Dr Sang In Lee who pastors  a church with a vision for mission and outreach in Seoul South Korea.   Sang In studied at Aberdeen university at the same time as our minister, where he was awarded a doctorate in New Testament studies.
