Welcome to the Tarbert Church of Scotland website! We are located in the Isle of Harris, one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland.
Fàilte gu larach lìn Eaglais na H-Alba air an Tairbeart. The sinn suidhichte ann an Eilean na Hearadh, àite cho breagha’s a tha ’n Alba.
We serve a large and scattered parish in North Harris. A community of many small villages and townships situated in some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery, ranging from mountains, moors and lochs to award-winning beaches.
We hope you enjoy browsing the site and that these pages will give you a taste of what’s going on in our church, as well as who we are and what we do.
From Sunday 6th June everyone who has asked to attend Church in person will be able to attend each week, the bi-weekly bubbles will no longer apply. The same guidelines will be in place but we are now able to have more people in the church building.
We will have lists at the door, as before for track and trace details, and because of this we would ask if you are unable to attend any week that you drop us a quick email to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know. This also means we will know what space we have for any visitors who want to attend.
We are also pleased to announce that visitors will be warmly welcomed to join us from now on throughout the summer. All that is necessary is that you inform the door stewards that you would wish to come to the service and leave contact details for track and trace purposes, and we will be very happy to have you join us in the service.
Alternatively, if you decided to come to church earlier in the week, please let us know by dropping us an email at email@example.com.
If you know of anyone who now would like to attend church and has not been in touch please ask them to contact us at the email address above or you can do so on their behalf. Guidance is changing all the time so we hope that in a short time things will open up a bit more as well.
We look forward to welcoming you to church.
