Sunday 27th March
On 23rd March 2020, the whole country went into lockdown. Two years later, and unfortunately, the effects of Covid are still very much impacting our Community and Nation. After last Sunday’s morning service, the Sunday school teachers decided sadly that due to the rising number of Covid cases in the school, the planned Sunday School Easter Family service tomorrow 27th March will not be a family service but will go ahead as a normal Sunday service without the children and young people present Continue reading

Stated Annual Meeting 23rd February
On Wednesday evening, 23rd February, the Stated Annual Meeting of the Congregation was held to reflect upon and receive the annual accounts for 2021. The trustees had previously approved the accounts at the Management Committee meeting on 17th February. Continue reading

A Reflection for Remembrance
uring this annual season of Remembrance, it is only natural, I suppose, for each generation to reflect on those who have gone before. However, when we look back, can we honestly say we compare with our forebears in terms of fortitude, dedication, and a sense of duty? Previous generations were faced with privations, difficulties and dangers that we cannot imagine. So I cannot help but feel that previous generations knew more of sacrificial living and service and even at times self-sacrifice than we do. Continue reading

Gaelic Service 7th November 2021
We meet again for a Gaelic service tomorrow evening (7th November) at 6 PM, to which everyone is cordially invited. This is an in-person service, and we welcome all who wish to join us for Gaelic worship this evening. We have been greatly encouraged by the numbers who have attended worship at our recent Gaelic services, and everyone is welcome to join us tomorrow night as we look at the Message of the Cross encapsulated so well in in 1 Corinthians 1:18 Continue reading

Arrangements for the Lord’s Supper
much to being in fellowship together at the Lord’s table and remembering the death of Jesus Christ, our Saviour, in the sacrament that He instituted. As is customary there will be a preparatory service on Friday 17th September at 7.30 PM. This service will be led by the Rev Gordon Macleod, minister of Stornoway High Church of Scotland. We look forward very much to having Gordon with us on Friday evening to share with us from God’s word. All are welcome to this service, although we will still be practising a 1-metre social distance in the church, and we will still be asking for contact details to comply with track and trace requirements.
